My partner found this company and booked with ease and no hassle. From start to finish we have been so looked after, upon arrival in Beijing after a train from Shanghai we were met by our guide Selinda. She has been amazing through out the day, flexible with times. She showed us the best place to get some food and then taking us to and from the Great Wall was filled with information and little facts. Plenty of time was given to explore the wall and then we were taken for some dumplings to revive us. Selinda made sure we were looked after and ensured we got back on the correct train. She made this trip so much less stressful and much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this company for future use.

My daughter and I toured Beijing with Selinda. She was prompt, professional, friendly, and helpful. We saw Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Mutianyu Great Wall section. At each site she shared the history and offered suggestions of good places for pictures. She was attentive to us and made sure we had everything we needed. The driver was helpful and having him drop us off and pick us up was immensely helpful. We toured the Summer Palace with Jason and he also did a stellar job sharing interesting facts and information which gave us context and a greater appreciation of what we saw. Jason, like Selinda, did a splendid job suggesting good photo spots and always happily offered to take our picture for us. I highly recommend these two tour guides and the driver. This was a great way to see some of the tourist attractions in Beijing.

A huge shoutout to our most awesome tour guide Selinda Zhang!!! She is a walking talking encyclopaedia with a wealth of knowledge both historic and current. She made our visits to well preserved historical sites all the more interesting sharing architecture, literature, Chinese penmanship and poems to highlight the significance of each site we visited! She engages both adults and children and usually reticent kids were asking questions and learnt heaps about Beijing history this trip. We had an epic time in Beijing thanks to Selinda!!

We would highly recommend our tour around the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Great Wall booked with our guide Jack from China Highlights. Jack was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. The views from the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall were stunning and a highlight.

Bruce was our guide for 3 days in Beijing and was phenomenal. We had 8 people and he took great care of us and was a wealth of fascinating historical information. If you come to Beijing… request Bruce. He met us at the train, had everything planned in detail for 3 days and was always on time and ready to lead. Great guide!

Fantastic journey arranged by an experienced Tour Guide Mr.Jerry for our Xi'an tour. Under his arrangment: Firstly we managed to visit the 兵马俑博物馆馆主杨先生, close chat with him about his founding of this world heritage sites. Secondly we smoothly and safely visited the 兵马俑three buildings, in avoiding huge crowd. Thirdly you should definitely not miss the 西安千古情剧recommended by Mr. Jerry. 4th special thanks to his smart arrangment to send one of our family member back to hotel due mindgrand. 5th nice trip to 大雁塔,大唐夜城,回民街etc. At last, each meals arranged by Jerry were tasteful and mount watering foods. He is strongly recommended.

Jenny from China Highlights took us to see the Terracotta Warriors, the Wild Goose Pagoda and to the city wall where we bicycled around. It was a great experience and we couldn't recommend her more highly.

Jenny also showed us a great restaurant with plenty of delicious local foods. Jenny was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The day was filled with history. Overall I would give the tour and Jenny a 10/10, it was a great day.

As part of our first trip to China, Xi’An was our Third destination, and we were fortunate to have Mervyn as our tour guide. She contacted us 24 hours in advance, providing all the necessary details for our meeting point at the train station. Upon arrival, Mervyn was waiting for us at the station, accompanied by the driver, and the vehicle provided—a top-quality MPV—was perfect for our group of three. Both Mervyn and the driver were highly professional, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Mervyn was incredibly efficient in organizing our itinerary, which included visits to all important attractions like City Wall, Muslim Quarters, Terracota Warriors Museum, pagoda and much more. She even extended her assistance into the evening, providing recommendations to ensure we were well taken care of. One of the highlights was the traditional Xi’an lunch she arranged at a fantastic restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Mervyn organised “Silk Route” show which was the best we have ever experienced live. In addition to her excellent planning, Mervyn went the extra mile by brining snacks on our day of arrival so my 10 year old son can have. On our departure day, She also arranged porter services at the Xi’An train station, which made our travel experience much smoother. Mervyn’s attention to detail and professionalism made her one of the best and most efficient tour guides we’ve ever had. We highly recommend her services to anyone visiting Xi’An Thank you, Mervyn, for taking such great care of us!

Our tour with Sherry in Xi’an was amazing! Her in-depth knowledge made the Terracotta Warriors so much more than just a quick visit, turning it into a truly engaging and memorable experience. She took us to incredible spots, including the vibrant Muslim Quarter, and introduced us to fantastic local food. Sherry and China Highlights also went above and beyond to help us celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, making the trip even more special. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing trip to Dujiangyan in Chengdu! The site itself is incredibly impressive, with its ancient irrigation system and stunning scenery. Our fantastic tour guide, Helen. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. Her explanations made the visit much more meaningful. Highly recommend China Highlight for anyone visiting China!

I highly recommend Helen, who guided our group of three during a private two-day tour in Chengdu. From start to finish, Helen was proactive, enthusiastic and incredibly insightful. She shared fascinating information about the places we visited and offered deeper context about the culture and history of Chengdu and Sichuan. Her eloquent English, extensive local knowledge and friendly, accommodating nature truly elevated our experience. Her flexibility, patience and genuine passion made our stay far more enjoyable than it would have been on our own. She went above and beyond, making us feel like friends rather than just clients. Here are some highlights of what made our time with Helen so memorable: - Panda Centre: She knew exactly where and when to go to avoid crowds and see the pandas at their most active. - People's Park: She introduced us to the local lifestyle, including tea-drinking rituals, line dancing and even the fascinating 'marriage market.' - Local Market: At our request, she guided us to buy very sweet mandarins and pears from a local market. - Jinsha Museum: She provided detailed and engaging explanations, bringing the artifacts and history to life. - Jinli Old Street: She led us to the most interesting spots, helped us purchase local snacks and ensured we didn’t miss anything special. - Sichuan Opera: She arranged for us to watch an incredible performance at the city’s best opera house. - Local Restaurants: She took us to authentic local eateries far from the typical tourist traps — hidden gems we would never have found on our own, even with Baidu Maps. - Community Centre: As an unexpected bonus, Helen introduced us to a local community centre supporting the elderly and individuals with special needs, which was a heart-warming experience.

Helen in ChengDu was our guide. Beside her deep knowledge and experience, she is a very sweet, smiley and pleasant lady. She speaks very well English and Mandarin. Visited SanxinDui and the Panda was the best thing to do in Chengdu. Wish we had more time to explore.

We travelled around China for 10 days as a family of 12 and our last stop was Guilin. Frank, our guide, had been superb even before we arrived Guilin. He was very responsive on messages and gave us amazing suggestions on how to best spend the short time we have in Guilin. He even helped us pre-book our New Year’s Eve dinner at the beautiful Sugar House. When we finally arrived Guilin after a long train ride, Frank welcomed us with a huge smile and took us to dinner then the impressive “Impression of Liu San Jie” night show by the lake. Frank was super accommodating and flexible with our huge group, brought us to the most beautiful cafe when we needed a toilet break, to a farm for a wholesome lunch, and took us on a short bike ride even when we had limited time. He even worked over time together with the driver to accompany us back to the hotel after new year’s countdown. Our family truly enjoyed our short time in Guilin thanks to Frank!

Our local guide William took us through Guilin and Yangshuo with great knowledge, experience and ensured that we will have fond memories of our time in semi-rural China. While I'm sure there will be an appropriate place for a formal review I will take the time here to express my appreciation for the professional way you and China highlights handled everything. For what it is worth, the Guilin local guide Lele was superior, and the driver did exactly what he was supposed to do. I would not hesitate to use again nor recommend you, China highlights the local guide at any time in the future.

There’s so much to say about this trip and our guide and driver who made it amazing for us. The culture and the sites are incredible to witness. From Lhasa to Shigatse to Everest Basecamp to Qirong Border, our guide (Dechen) gave us the most amazing tour and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sites along the way. She made sure we felt welcome and were comfortable the entire time (from picking us up at the airport with traditional scarves, having heavy blankets ready to keep us warm, prayer flags for us to experience local culture, and oxygen bottles for us when the altitude got to us). Such an incredible experience, made even better by our guide Dechen and our amazing driver who got us around safely and comfortably. How he could navigate hundreds of switchbacks without making us carsick is a true testament to his driving skills. We felt very safe with him at the wheel. Thank you both!

We are a family of 4 with two kids with allergy. This was our third time travelling with China Highlights. So Leon, our planning guide, knows very well what our requirements and likings are. All the planning was as smooth as they can be. Our local Lhasa guide was Khamsang who has excellent knowledge in all things Tibet, from nomad's life style, city life, religion, food and many more. This was children's first time on high altitude trip and as had expected one of them got quite sick. Khamsang, a mother herself, was very quick to take us to the pharmacy and received proper care in time. Although winter isn't peak travelling season of Lhasa because of it's temperature, we enjoyed this extraordinary trip because of both Leon and Khamsang. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a fantastic tour of Tibet with Pasang of China Highlights. He was very detailed and thorough with his explanations as we visited the various significant sites like Potala palace and Jokhang Temple. His passion to share about his home region of Tibet is clear through his enthusiasm. He also showed us a slice of local life as we visited many local restaurants and tea houses. A highlight of our trip was our journey to Yamdrok lake, the Himalayas and Everest base camp. He was very knowledgeable of the best view points. Pasang and our driver even accommodated our request to shoot some astrophotography at night near Everest even though it was not originally planned. He was also very caring and checks in on us regularly for symptoms of altitude sickness. Overall the tour was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend Pasang to any friends or family who wish to travel to Tibet!

Khamsang gave us a personal & informative tour of her city. She was patient and helpful to those of us who had difficulty with the altitude.

We were a group of 6 seniors, in reasonable shape but feeling the altitude. Our guide, Khamsang maintained a slow and steady pace that got us comfortably to the top of Potala Palace. I was impressed with her knowledge of Tibetan culture and history. Her command of English made her easy to follow and she patiently answered our questions.We also went to Sera Monastery and Norbulinka which means jeweled garden. We also toured Deprung Monastery. The trip was interesting andInformative, made better by being in the capable hands of Khansang.

Brenda was our tour guide in Zhou Zhuang and Shanghai. We had a great time in Zhou Zhuang and Shanghai. Zhou Zhuang is definitely the water town to visit if you can only visit one. Brenda was able to meet all our needs, even assisted us with a trip to the ER in Zhou Zhuang and translated for us. Chinese healthcare system is very quick and cheap. We were able to see a doctor, get lab works, ultrasound and medication all within an hour. The cost was about $50 USD. That did not affect our trip. We enjoyed the restaurants she took us to. When our tour was supposed to end around 2pm in Shanghai, Brenda and the driver made sure that we completed all the activities we wanted to do. I highly recommend Brenda as a tour guide and using China Highlights to plan out your trip to China.

My wife and I are touring China through China Highlights and when in Suzhou, we were blessed to Brenda as our guide. Brenda is an outstanding friendly guide whose knowledge of the area and whose English is excellent. Ray ‘s purpose in coming to Suzhou was to take a canal boat ride. Brenda arranged boat rides both in Suzhou and Tongli which were both marvellous. We also visited the famous leaning Buddhist Temple and the embroidery complex. She also took time to show us a great eating area close to our hotel. Brenda is currently with us in Shanghai where she shown us how to walk easily down to the river to look over the amazing new buildings and the Bund. She has also introduced us to quite different local food at lunch each day and we are now enjoying coffees at her favourite coffee shop on the river.

I had an absolutely incredible experience on my tour in Suzhou, all thanks to our amazing guide (Brenda)! She was knowledgeable, and personable, and went above and beyond to make the entire trip unforgettable. Her insights into the local culture, history, and hidden gems of Suzhou added so much depth to the experience. Whether we were exploring the beautiful gardens or walking through the charming old streets, she brought the city to life with her stories and passion for the area. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching tour in Suzhou!

Our guide Brenda spoke fluent English. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Thanks to her explanations, we had a memorable two-day trip to Suzhou and Tongli water towns.

Our guide, Brenda with China Highlights, really made our experience unforgettable even though we were only there for a short bit of time. Brenda was really knowledgeable and helpful in telling us where to find food nearby the hotel.She took us to the water town of Tongli, and shared so much of its history as well as the history of Suzhou. She also had great conversations with us -- topics ranging from the transformation of Suzhou to how the economy in China.

Did a day trip to ZhuJiaJiao water village..it was a great experience..went on a boat ride through the canals and did some shopping..also had some great local fare…our guide Helen was very knowledgeable and helpful..

This is an amazing tour in an amazing city. Martin (our guide) went over and beyond to organize everything that we needed and required. He made it very flexible for us to select the right restaurants, even made sure we were seated in the right seats in the bullet train, just wow. We had an amazing time with Wini walking the streets of Shanghai and learning about the remarkable history and architecture of this great city. We got to eat delicious food and see many different sights and locations, including the 118th floor of the Shanghai Tower. Highly recommend to everyone!

We visited Shanghai as the last stop on our 3-city tour of China, and it made for a great finale! The city is so modern and vibrant and welcoming, just like our tour guide Kris. He’s fun and full of knowledge, fast moving but always giving you time to fully experience everything in your own way. He and our skilled driver got us to all the major sights on our list in a single day — including a couple extras — and each one exceeded expectations, thanks in part to his perspective, insights, and positive attitude. He even helped coordinate pickups and dropoffs for us after our regular tour was over. We packed so much into our 3 cities! We’re really thankful we found China Highlights to help us make the most of it, instead of trying to go it alone. Would highly recommend them — especially if you’re on a tight schedule and looking to make the most of your time!

I had a much to brief visit to Shanghai. My guide, Karen, is tremendous. Knowledgeable. Skilled in leading her tourists around the City. Kind and very caring. I couldn't let the year end without singing her praises. I would recommend her service to anyone visiting this great City.

We arrived at Zhangjiajie High Speed Rail station on Jan 2nd and were met by our local guide Bree (dressed in traditional Miao ethnic minority costume !) and our driver Mr Wu. This "no queuing" experience became a recurring feature on our next few days and is very satisfying (and time-saving), as long as you don't mind the colder temperatures in January ! We want to give special thanks to our guide, Bree, who organized everything for us so efficiently and accommodated us with our last minute requests such as wanting to see the cultural show and the 72 Wonder Tower. She is very knowledgeable about the area and culture and we learned many fascinating facts from her during the hikes and in the mini-van as we went from location to location. One of our party had sprained her ankle during the hike in the Grand Canyon and had some discomfort in walking. This would have been an issue on the last day as there was still so much to see on Tianmen Mountain and we had a train to catch that afternoon. Bree was not flustered by this and had worked out an alternative, less strenuous route for the injured party to meet up with the rest of us along the way. Luckily, we did not need to use this in the end. We were willing to forego lunch to make up for lost time due to the slower pace but Bree timed everything well. We managed to see everything that was planned on our schedule and still had time for a full lunch before we headed to the train station. We also want to give a shout-out to the driver Mr Wu too, for his pleasant disposition and patience in waiting for us all day as we went sightseeing. He kept us hydrated with bottled water in the mini-van and provided snacks and fruits. He even brought us his own home-grown organic oranges which tasted very sweet. Thank you ! We have had such a great experience travelling with China Highlights that we have already planned our third trip with them, this time going to Jiu Zhai Gou later this year.

What a fantastic experience. We spent three days in the company of Abbie, our amazing guide. Being in our late 70's Abbie looked after us as if we were her own parents! Always getting us to the front of queues. Finding interesting local eateries. The sights we saw were stunning, the steps we climbed were many. I can thoroughly recommend the Zhangjiajie tour, a unique part of the world, it has to be seen to be believed.

My family and I are currently traveling around China with China Highlights and it has been amazing. All the cars have been excellent, very comfortable, spacious and new. Lily, our guide in Zhangjiajie, was exceptional. Incredibly kind, attentive to our needs, and always with a smile. She always had snacks for us, was warm and joyous, and very knowledgeable. Of all the guides we have used across our travels, she may be one of the best. Highly recommend China Highlights and if you’re considering a visit to Zhangjiajie, Lily will make your trip very memorable.

We had a wonderful time at Zhangjiajie last week. The sceneries there were breathtaking and every photographs we took were picturesque. We haven’t travel with a travel agency or having a tour guide with us for a very long time but glad that we decided to travel with China Highlights. The itinerary planned was exactly what we wished for and the guide, David “Nearby”, was very knowledgeable and ensured that we had a smooth and fulfilling tour of Zhangjiajie. He shared with us some interesting stories of the place and even entertained us with his spontaneous singing. I would definitely consider China Highlights again and recommend having David as a guide.

Our trip to Yunnan was amazing and there were a tonne of well thought out activities to entertain everyone. Our guides May (Kunming), Sally (Dali), Alice (Lijiang), Daniel (Lijiang), Pema (Shangri-La) and driver 尹光涛师傅 were very knowledgeable and thoughtful. We also made some ad hoc adjustments to the itinerary which was facilitated by the guides.

We went to Lijiang, Shaxi and Dali. My second time, my family’s first time. It was absolutely amazing, an experience filled with culture, nature and delicious foods. I would strongly recommend China Highlights to organise this trip for you as they know exactly what to show you and their service is excellent. Big shoutout to Coco, our agent who never disappoints. To Eleanor, our very capable and friendly guide in Lijiang. To Frank, our amazing, caring and extremely knowledgeable guide in Shaxi and Dali (no guide will ever take photos as good as Frank, trust me ;)

Guides like Selina (Kunming), Daisy (Dali), Martin (Lijiang) and Sarah (Shangri-la) are all experienced, taking care of our needs and made good recommendations of restaurants. Furthermore, we wanted to go to the First Bend of Yangtze River and Shigu Village during the trip. Martin managed to contact the tour agency last minute and fulfilled our impromptu wishes. Hotel stays were quite comfortable too. Overall, we had a wonderful and enjoyable 8-days tour in Yunnan.

We had a phenomenal trip of Dali and Shaxi with Daisy. She was kind, courteous, smiling, on time and constantly went out of her way to accommodate and help us with anything and everything. She has in depth understanding of the area, history, things to do, where / what to eat, historical perspective, good locations for photographs, and much more. Can't recommend her enough for Dali and Shaxi, 5 stars all the way!!

China Highlight as a tour agent was fantastic. The driver and tour guide assigned were great. We went Dali and Frank the tour guide coordinated well with the driver. Frank is so knowledgeable and experienced as a tour guide. So he was able to bring us to all the places where the food all tasted great and environment was perfect. He also knew the best photo taking spots and helped us take so many nice pictures. He also brought some local fruits for us and cut them up during lunch. His efforts are totally commendable!

What a delight! China Highlights organised a wonderful 2 days in Dali, thanks to Albee for arranging and to Scarlett for looking after me so well. Making flower cakes was a wonderful experience, and Scarlett showed me how to navigate the old city. The only problem….. 2 days isn’t long enough! This is such a beautiful area with mountains and lake.

We had an awesome holiday with China Highlights. The guides Lulu, Sally and Eleanor were welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. The itinerary planned by Glory was well thought for a family with young kids.

We had a wonderful experience with Daisy Dali seeing Dali old Towne and the Bai villages around Lake Erhai. She is wonderfully sweet and thoughtful and really worked to makes sure we saw things we were especially interested in. She picked us up at the airport and made sure we were comfortable in our beautiful hotel and had excellent recommendations for trying fried cheese, flower cakes and a great noodle shop for dinner. She took us to the markets in Xihou, silk embroidery school and a traditional Bai house. She knew we were interested in the indigo tie die work and made a special stop in Zhoucheng. It was a beautiful, relaxing drive around the lake with scenic stops. Thank you, Daisy!!!

Dali is a pleasant break from the frigid cold of Beijing. Daisy from Dali was a knowledgeable, energetic guide who was very helpful. The Embroidery School and natural indigo batik shop were well worth the time. You can’t go wrong with Daisy from Dali!

We have not been to China for more than 15 years and were pleasantly surprised by how much it has changed. Furthermore, we were used to travelling free and easy but we decided to travel with China Highlights for our trip to Yunnan and are glad we did. The itinerary planned was exactly what we wished for - slow and easy but still allowing us to maximise our time there. China Highlights ensures that the local guides are of high standards and are able to share with us stories of the different tribes and places. We wish to give a special shout out to our guides - Sally and Antonio and our driver Mr Yang. Sally is very meticulous and put in great effort to make sure that our needs are well looked after. Antonio shared with us many interesting stories and knowledge about Yunnan and China. Mr Yang was easy going and provided good company. I would definitely consider China Highlights again.

My husband and I had the best time in Huangshan with our guide, Tony. We were very lucky that the weather was clear when we were on the mountain because the views we had were incomparable! Tony also told us the best spot to experience sunrise on the mountain which was absolutely magical and 100% worth the hour of hiking in the dark. Tony was also an extremely kind and knowledgeable guide with so much insight, not only of the mountain, but also the local people and the surrounding area. He ensured that we had the best time and were safe at all time, especially when taking on the more challenging climb. We only managed to stay here for 2 nights but will definitely return for a longer stay and explore the rest of the hiking trail we didn't manage to explore this time around!

We got amazing views to the mountains and our guide Tony helped us get many spectacular views including the sunset by tailoring our itinerary as per the local conditions. I will recommend Tony as he has deep understanding of the area and is very friendly! Special thanks to Liberman for helping create the itinerary!

During the private tour we were escorted by our guide Derek, which made our time truly memorable!! He works with true passion and dedication , and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of during our whole time together. He was very knowledgeable of all the places we visited (West lake , Lingyin temple, tea village), and kept us entertained the whole time with interesting insights, legends and stories. He gave us a lot of tips, and thanks to his great English knowledge, we were able to not only learn a lot about China , but also have a fun time together He had a very good relationship with our driver and the lady from the Tea Village experience, which at the end of the trip made us feel like in a small family. He is a truly professional, reliable, fun, friendly, knowledgeable guide, and if you have the opportunity I would 100% recommend booking a tour with him !!
